Police officers in riot gear raided the Harare headquarters of Zimbabwe’s main opposition party on Thursday seizing computers and arresting several people. Police can be seen cordoning off the streets in front of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) headquarters and loading people onto police trucks. The raid came a day after violent protests in Zimbabwe's capital, in which hundreds of... Еще protesters took to the streets to denounce the elections and delay in the announcement of the result. Police said six people died in clashes. Presidential candidate Nelson Chamisa of the MDC claimed that incumbent Emmerson Mnangagwa rigged the election, after early polls giving Chmisa the lead turned in favour of Mnangagwa’s ruling Zanu-PF. The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) has until Saturday to declare the winner. This is the country's first poll since former president Robert Mugabe was removed from power last year.
