Yemen: Hudaida protesters march against Saudi-led coalition blockade

Protesters marched through Hudaida to protest against the Saudi-led coalition blockade of Yemen, Sunday. The protesters carried banners with slogans such as «closing all Yemen ports is a genocide crime against Yemenis [sic] People.» On November 5, the Saudi-led coalition announced that it would block all land, air and sea access into Yemen after a ballistic missile fired from Yemen was... Еще intercepted over Saudi territory. The rocket was fired at the international airport near the Saudi capital Riyadh. The Saudi-led coalition has denied aid access to Houthi-held ports, like Hudaida, until the UN sets up a tighter system to control any flow of arms into the country. The UN has reportedly dismissed the condition. The UN has also warned of a deteriorating humanitarian situation as a result of the blockade. «The blocking of essential medicine and vaccines and the lack of fuel arriving in Al Hudaydah port will impact millions of people that are already suffering from a lack of health services and multiple preventable diseases,» the UN wrote in a statement. Up to one million children are at risk of contracting diphtheria following an outbreak of the disease in Yemen, according to the UN. The country now has more than 120 diagnosed cases and 14 deaths in the past week.
