Yemen: Houthi negotiators and UN envoy head for Stockholm ahead of peace talks

The Houthi forces' negotiating team left Sanaa for Stockholm on Tuesday, where they will attend a round of peace talks over the course of several days. UN Special Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths accompanied the negotiators on their way to the Swedish capital, on board a Kuwaiti airplane. Griffiths reportedly arrived in the Yemeni capital the day before, during which he met with Houthi leaders... Еще, including Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, Head of Houthi Higher Revolutionary Committee. Fighting between Saudi-led coalition forces and Houthi fighters flared up again around Hodeidah in November, despite the United Nations pushing for a resumption of peace talks. The first UN-sponsored peace talks in Geneva in September failed after the Houthi delegation didn't show up for the consultations.
