Yemeni authorities reported five new coronavirus cases in Aden on Wednesday, one day after the United Nations expressed fears that the disease could be spreading undetected in the war-torn country.

«During the last two days we had two deaths and the last day we had three deaths as a result of infections... Еще in the respiratory tract,» said the deputy director of Aden's Al-Gomhoria Hospital, Tariq Mazyadah. «The strange thing is that the coronavirus tests are negative but the status of the cases suggests that it is a similar disease, or that coronavirus is present but it was not diagnosed correctly.»
According to Yemeni Health Ministry undersecretary Ishraq Al-Sibai, «the cases are prevalently related to the chikungunya virus and dengue fever.»
