Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez spoke about the newly declared US sanctions against the country at a press conference in Caracas on Tuesday.
Rodriguez condemned the measures as «arbitrary because they are not contemplated in any international law. They are unilateral because [they are] unilaterally imposed by a government in an abusive manner. And they are illegitimate because they do... Еще not have any legality nor do they have the normative support that can guarantee what is contemplated there.»
Rodriguez went on to denounce «the serious financial, economic and commercial block that exists over Venezuela, which affects the population.»
The set of sanctions targets seven individuals and two dozen companies, including Globovision Tele, one of the few remaining privately held media company of the country.
