Venezuela: Maduro calls out Colombia's Santos at swearing in ceremony

Freshly-elected Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro was sworn in at a ceremony in Caracas on Thursday and used the opportunity to take a swipe at his Colombian counterpart Juan Manuel Santos. «I denounce the grim plans made by Juan Manuel Santos to create a compromised situation of warlike confrontation along the border,» he said. Maduro also vowed 'to comply with our Bolivarian constitution... Еще and to fulfil all of the revolutionary obligations necessary for Venezuela to reach its potential.' On Sunday, Nicolas Maduro was re-elected as Venezuela's President for a second term. According to the country's election board, Maduro took 67.7 percent of the vote, while his closest rival retired serviceman Falcon came second with 21.2 percent, and Javier Bertucci with 10 percent.
