Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro attended a military parade in Caracas on Thursday, to commemorate the country's 207th anniversary of national independence from Spanish colonial rule. High state officials as well as top military commandos were in attendance. Military soldiers and tanks marched to the rhythms of national music. «A multidimensional aggression has been fired against the people... Еще of Venezuela. But the people of Venezuela don't give up, the people of Venezuela resist, the people of Venezuela don't give their freedom,» said Maduro during his official speech. Venezuela celebrates July 5 as the anniversary of signing the Venezuelan Declaration of Independence in 1811.
