Venezuela: Hundreds line up to receive medical aid from Red Cross in Maracaibo

Hundreds of inhabitants of the Venezuelan city of Maracaibo lined up outside the Red Cross headquarters on Saturday, to receive medical aid that has recently entered the country. Footage from shows men, women, the elderly, and children thronging the headquarters as Red Cross officials dispense medical aid and conduct sanitary operations. One local explained that «the attention was very good. It... Еще was very fast. All the team of volunteers organized very well the system by which we are receiving the medicines. We did not get all the medication we need, that's the only thing. But they gave us at least two medications per person.» Venezuela is facing social and humanitarian crisis following a political clash since January 23, when Juan Guaido declared himself interim president in a move now recognized by over 50 countries and international bodies including the United States and the European Union. Hundreds of thousands of protesters have taken to the streets leading to multiple clashes with police, while over 4 million Venezuelans have fled the country according to the UNHCR.
