Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido criticised the government after four opposition members of parliament were accused of treason and conspiracy on Tuesday.
They join the ranks of 10 other lawmakers, all of whom supporter Guaido's failed attempt to spark a military coup against Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in April.
Speaking at a packed press conference in Caracas, Guaido said the... Еще 'regime' were resorting to «persecution, harassment, the lifting of immunities» to «silence all the opposition».
«That is the path that the regime chose. The road they decided to follow once more,» he added.
On Tuesday, security forces also blocked off the parliament building and prevented members of the opposition-controlled National Assembly from attending a session. They said they were investigating a possible explosive device inside the building.
