USA: WWII warbirds' 'flight to the finish' marks VE Day

Vintage WWII warbirds graced Houston's sky on Sunday as the Texan city commemorated the 75th anniversary of victory in Europe (VE Day) and end of the second world war. B-25 «Devil Dog,» the T-6 Texan, and SB2C Helldiver were among 30 antique fighter planes which flew almost 200 kilometres over Houston's greater area. «I love to see these antique planes fly. My father flew B-17 and B-24 in WWII... Еще and I work for an airline so I just love airplanes and what better way to spend a beautiful day in Houston,» said Kelly who was there to watch the spectacle. The Fight to the Finish flyover had been originally planned for May 8 but was re-scheduled due to stormy weather.
