USA: Women’s March founders arrested after storming Capitol Hill

Co-chairs of the protest movement 'Women’s March 2017' were among dozens of activists arrested by police in Washington DC on Tuesday after a protest against Republican tax reform. Activists staged a sit-in at the office of Republican Congresswoman Claudia Tenney in protest against her support for US President Donald Trump’s tax bill. Co-chairs Bob Bland and Linda Sarsour were later escorted... Еще from the building by police. In a pledge of allegiance to the crowd, civil rights campaigner for Muslim Americans Sarsour declared «Today is not the end. We will continue to fight. Until, all people are treated with dignity and respect.» The planned tax cuts recently passed the US Senate in a narrow vote, marking Trump’s first legislative victory.
