USA: WH aides express concern about 'improper' Trump's Ukraine call

White House officials testified in the third day of impeachment hearings, expressing their concerns about the phone call US President Donald Trump had with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskiy, in Washington DC on Tuesday. Director for European Affairs for the US National Security Council, lieutenant colonel Alexander Vindman said: «it was the connection to investigate a political... Еще opponent was inappropriate and improper. I made that connection as soon as the President brought up the Biden investigation.» Jennifer Williams, aide to US Vice President Mike Pence, added: «the references to specific individual investigations such as former Vice President Biden and his son struck me as political in nature, given that the former Vice President is a political opponent of the president.» Trump is alleged to have asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to find damaging information on the business dealings of Hunter Biden, the son of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, during the call. Hunter Biden was on the board of a Ukrainian gas company between 2014 and 2019.
