USA: Wendy's restaurant burns in Atlanta after police killing of black man

Protesters set fire to a Wendy's restaurant in Atlanta on Saturday night that had earlier been the site of a police shooting, as tensions remain high with law enforcement since George Floyd's killing in Minneapolis. On Friday, police used deadly force against Rayshard Brooks, a 27-year-old black man, after responding to reports that he had reportedly fallen asleep in his car at the Wendy's drive-through. A heavy police presence was seen guarding the restaurant, where they were faced with dozens of protesters, and a highway near the restaurant had been blocked off to traffic. The officer involved in the incident, Garrett Rolfe, was fired from the Atlanta Police Department, and the city's police chief has also resigned over the killing.
