The Red Hen restaurant in Lexington, Virginia, that refused to serve White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders opened its doors on Thursday two weeks after the incident. A group of protesters stood in front of the door holding banners condemning the restaurant's reopening. «We are here because we heard that The Red Hen is going to reopen. So we just wanted to remind people of their business... Еще practices, which include mot serving people whose political party they disagree with,» claimed one picketer. About a dozen of people showed up to see if there was any room to dine at the Red Hen tonight, or simply to express their support. «We just wanted to let them know that there are people from this region from the Appalachians who also support what the owner's values are», said one of them. The restaurant opened on regular hours at 5 pm in a «reservation only» basis. A booking app for restaurants showed that The Red Hen is fully booked three days ahead. The management of the restaurant refused to comment to the media, but only a group of chefs came outside and placed flowers by the front door as well as two signs saying, «The Red Hen is fully booked this evening...» and «Welcome to The Red Hen. Dinner by reservation only.» The Red Hen was forced to shut down for two weeks due as it was inundated by protesters in real life as well as on social media following its refusal to serve the White House Press Secretary.
