A shipment of 50 ventilators that are set to be donated to Russia by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) were loaded onto a plane at the March Air Reserve Base in California on Tuesday.
According to USAID, the military aircraft fly the medical ventilators to Moscow on May 21.

The remaining 150 are set to be ready for shipment on May 26.
The US is donating 100 percent of the cost of the medical ventilators, including their set-up, which are produced in California and destined to be used in a surgical centre in Moscow.
According to Johns Hopkins University, Russia has the second world's second highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases as of Wednesday, as well as 2,972 deaths related to the virus.
