USA: Trump to invite Kim Jong Un if summit 'goes well'

SOT, Donald Trump, US President: «Well, the answer is yes to the second part of your question. But certainly if it goes well and I think it will be well-received, I think he would look at it very favourably. So I think that could happen.» *MULTIPLE SHOTS AT SOURCE* US President Donald Trump announced he would «certainly» host North Korean leader Kim Jong Un if the planned Singapore summit «goes... Еще well,» during a joint presser with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in the White House in Washington D.C. on Thursday. «Normalising relations is something that I would expect to do,» Trump said when questioned about the prospect of developing relations with North Korea far beyond the denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula. The US president also hinted at the content of letter delivered to him on behalf of Kim Jong Un saying, «It was really a very warm letter, a very nice letter.» Abe on his part emphasised the critical importance of bringing up «abduction, nuclear and missile programs» in the summit before jumping into any further actions regarding North Korea. Japan seeks the return of its nationals allegedly abducted by North Korea between 1977 to 1983.
