US President Donald Trump threatened to declare a national emergency in order to secure funding to build his promised wall on the US-Mexico border, minutes before he departed Washington DC for Camp David on Sunday.
«I may declare a national emergency dependent on what's going to happen over the next few days,» said Trump adding that «I think we're going to have some very serious talks come... Еще Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. We have to have border security. If we don't have border security we're going to be crime-ridden and it's going to get worse and worse.»
Trump also claimed that he has the backing of many of the federal employees who have been without pay since the beginning of the partial federal shutdown, saying that «people understand exactly what's going on. But many of those people that won't be receiving a paycheck, many of those people agree 100 percent with what I'm doing.»
