USA: Trump tells Macron plans for US' own Bastille Day military parade

US President Donald Trump suggested he was looking into arranging a military parade similar to France's Bastille Day, speaking alongside French President Emmanuel Macron at New York City's Palace Hotel, Monday. «I was your guest at Bastille Day, and it was one of the greatest parades I’ve ever seen. It was two hours on the button and it was military might and I think a tremendous thing for... Еще France and for the spirit of France,» Trump said to his counterpart. «So we’re actually thinking about Fourth of July, Pennsylvania Avenue, having a really great parade to show our military strength.» Meanwhile, President Macron said he hoped to advance diplomatic talks with the US over an array of issues, especially security and terrorism. «We have a lot of similar views on issues like security, the fight against nuclear proliferation and also the management of the world's great conflicts. I think that we have a lot to do together on these issues,» he said. «I'm not saying we agree on everything but we agree on lots of things.»
