US President Donald Trump on Wednesday slammed Mark Zaid, a lawyer representing the whistleblower at the centre of the ongoing impeachment attorney for a 2017 tweet saying, «Coup has started». The remarks came as Trump was rallying Republican governor candidate Eddie Rispone ahead of the upcoming run-off elections in Monroe, Louisiana.
«'Coup has started' whistleblower's attorney said in 2017... Еще, you know when that was, that was a long time ago. It's all a hoax, they say January 2017 a coup has started and the impeachment will follow,» said Trump as he slammed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democratic chairman of the House Intelligence Committee «shifty» Adam Schiff for their role in the impeachment inquiry.
Trump also berated incumbent Louisiana Democratic Governor John Bel Edwards warning the crowds, «The Democrats want open borders, they want sanctuary cities. You're not too big into sanctuary cities. With John Bel Edwards, you will soon have a sanctuary city in your midst.»
Louisiana 2019 gubernatorial election will take place on October 12.
