USA: Trump refers to Ukrainian President as 'new Russian President'

US President Donald Trump mistakenly referred to his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskiy as «the new Russian President, a good man» in Chicago on Monday, when talking about the statement Zelenskiy made regarding their conversation which sparked an impeachment inquiry. «When I released the conversation I blew up (Chair of the House Intelligence Committee Adam) Schiff's act and just to put... Еще topping on it, the Russian, as you know the new Russian President, a good man made a statement. There was no anything, there was no pressure put on him, no anything,» Trump said. Trump also stated he might release footage of the raid led by US special forces in which, according to Trump's statement made earlier, the leader of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIS/ISIL) Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was killed. The US President also blamed House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi and «Do-Nothing Democrats» for not having voted on the new US-Mexico-Canada (USMCA) trade agreement, which he claims «is going to have bi-partisan support.» Trump is facing an impeachment inquiry by Pelosi following a political scandal involving the President's dealings with Ukraine. Trump is alleged to have asked President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy to find damaging information on the business dealings of Hunter Biden, the son of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden during a phone call. Hunter Biden was on the board of a Ukrainian gas company between 2014 and 2019.
