US President Donald Trump pledged support for airlines struggling amid the coronavirus outbreak, while praising his efforts in handling the crisis which, as he said, could last into August, in Washington DC, on Monday.
«As far as the airlines are concerned, the airlines, we're going to back the airlines 100 percent. It's not their fault. It's nobody's fault. Unless you go to the original source... Еще, but it's nobody's fault. And we're going to be in a position to help the airlines very much. We've told the airlines we're going to help them,» said Trump.
Speaking about how long the health crisis could last, Trump said the country would cope with the virus «until July or August.»
Answering the question about how he would rate his response to the coronavirus crisis on a scale from one to ten, Trump said: «I'd rate it a ten. I think we've done a great job.»
According to Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, the United States currently has 3,487 cases of the coronavirus with 68 deaths.
