USA: Trump greets Joshua Holt after release from Venezuelan prison

SOT, Josh Holt, US missionary released from Venezuela (English): «I am just overwhelmed with gratitude for you guys, for everything that you've done, for support to my wife. Those two years were very, very, very difficult two years. Not really the great vacation that I was looking for but we're still together. Starting off our marriage rough but now we are going to be together and I'm just so... Еще grateful for what you guys have done and for thinking about me, and caring about me — just a normal person. So it really touches me and thank you.» United States President Donald Trump greeted US Missionary Joshua Holt and his Venezuelan girlfriend Tammy Caleno in the White House in Washington DC on Saturday, following his release from detainment in Venezuela. Both Joshua Holt and Tammy Caleno were held as prisoners in Venezuela since 2016 on charges of concealing weapons and were released a day after Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro met with US Senator Bob Corker. Trump congratulated Holt on his return saying that he «came back from a very tough ordeal.» Joshua Holt's mother, Laurie, also attended and thanked Trump for his role in returning Joshua to the US. «I also want to say thank you to [Venezuelan] President [Nicolas] Maduro for releasing Josh and letting him come home,» Laurie Holt added. In return, Holt said: «I'm just overwhelmed with gratitude for you guys for everything that you've done, for support to my wife.» He added: «Those two years were very, very, very difficult two years.» Speaking on North Korea, Trump also commented on the planned summit with its leader Kim Jong-un, saying that «We're doing very well in terms of the summit with North Korea. Looks like it's going along very well. As you know there are meetings going on, as we speak.»
