USA: 'Travesty of justice' — San Jose residents rally against Trump's Muslim ban

Hundreds of protesters rallied in San Jose, California, on Tuesday, to demonstrate against US President Donald Trump's travel ban, also known as the 'Muslim ban', after the US Supreme Court decided to uphold it. Ammad Rafiqi of the Council on American Islamic Relations called the decision «a travesty of justice» and said that it would be «a dark, grim stain on the conscience of the American... Еще court system.» Among protesters were US citizens affected by the ban whose spouses, parents and other close relatives are awaiting to be reunited with them since last year, when the ban was introduced. The travel restriction, which was issued by Trump in September, affects people from Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen. Chad was removed from the list in April.
