USA: Toxic gas and glass pumped into the air as lava meets seawater in Hawaii

Lava and seawater combined to produce a laze plume, as seen in helicopter overflight footage shot above Kilauea Volcano's lower East Rift Zone, released Wednesday. The combination produces hydrochloric acid and fine glass particles which can drift with the wind, causing health hazards for people in the nearby area.
