USA: Three injured after car pulls into Trans Lives Matter protesters in St. Louis

Three people sustained minor injuries after a car plowed into Trans Lives Matter protesters who blocked an intersection on Manchester Avenue, in St. Louis, Missouri, Wednesday. The demonstrators began marching after they attended a vigil for transgender woman Kenny «Kiwi» Herring at the Transgender Memorial Garden, who had been fatally shot by police on Tuesday evening. The police reported that the driver beeped his horn and attempted to drive around the demonstrators before several of them surrounded his car and started striking it with their hands. According to the police, the protesters climbed atop the vehicle and fell off when it pulled away. However, the witness alleged that the driver raised his middle finger before accelerating through the protesters. The driver was detained following the incident. Kenny «Kiwi» Herring was fatally shot by police on Tuesday evening, after she allegedly stabbed an officer in the arm with a kitchen knife, who was reportedly on the scene after Herring had allegedly stabbed a neighbour.
