USA: Strike! Workers call for $15 minimum wage on Pittsburgh Labour Day

Hundreds of workers and community activists marked Pittsburgh Labour Day with a strike and march through Pennsylvania's second most populous city on Monday. The march, organised by local trade unions, involved service industry workers, nurses and faculty members of the city's state-run university calling for a $15 (€12.61) minimum living wage and union rights. Protesters made a pit stop outside a McDonald's for a short rally before continuing on to the University of Pittsburgh were a finally round of speeches were given.
