US Senators Bernie Sanders, Cory Booker and Richard Blumenthal joined a rally outside the country's Supreme Court in Washington D.C. on Monday, to protest against US President Donald Trump's nomination of Brett Kavanaugh. The protest began shortly after Trump's announcement of the decision. Demonstrators chanted «Kavanaugh has got to go» and held placards reading «Stop Kavanaugh.» The speakers... Еще at the rally argued that Kavanaugh poses a threat to abortion rights, workers' rights and health care protections. Kavanaugh is set to replace the Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy who announced his retirement on June 27. This is Trump's second appointment to the US Supreme Court since taking office, following his nomination of Neil Gorsuch to fill the one-year vacancy left by the February 2016 death of Associate Justice Antonin Scalia.
