USA: Spain should remain united — Trump talks Catalonia with Spanish PM Rajoy

US President Donald Trump and Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, held a joint press conference at the White House in Washington DC, Tuesday. The pair discussed a variety of topics, including North Korea, Venezuela and Catalonia. Trump was adamant in his belief that Catalonia should no secede from Spain, saying that there was popular support for it. «I think that Spain is a great country... Еще and it should remain united, we're dealing with a great, great country and it should remain united,» Trump said. «I think the President would say they're not going to have a vote but I think that the people would be very much opposed to that. I bet you if you had accurate numbers and accurate polling you would find that they love their country, they love Spain, and they wouldn't leave,» he said. The US president mistakenly referred to as the Spanish prime minister as 'President.' On North Korea, Trump repeated his line that the US would react with military force if provoked. «If we take that option it will be devastating, I can tell you that. Devastating for North Korea. That's called the military option. If we have to take it, we will,» the President said. «Various and many administrations left me this mess, but I'll fix this mess.»
