Fifteen separate wildfires continued to rage in Northern California on Tuesday, having killed at least 13 people and destroyed 73,000 acres of affected land, and prompting a state of emergency.
Thousands of people have been evacuated as authorities attempt to bring the blazes under control.
«There are some neighbourhoods, in different parts, that are completely gone. Block after block after... Еще block, we have over 500 houses so there are literally thousands of people who were evacuated,» said Jim Bray, Red Cross Manager at Sonoma Country Fairgrounds, which has been converted in to an evacuation centre.
