Hundreds of Black Lives Matter activists marched across Seattle on Sunday, as the protests following George Floyd's death continued.
The rally stopped by the Seattle Police Department's West Precinct, with speakers addressing the crowd and masses calling to stop police brutality and defund the existing forces
After nearly an hour of demonstration, the march continued towards what is being called the 'Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone' (CHAZ), a six-block-large area occupied by protesters and without a police presence.
Last week, protesters declared the occupied district an 'autonomous zone' after the police's East Precinct was evacuated from the area. Later the zone was renamed to the 'Capitol Hill Occupied Protest' (CHOP) to better reflect the message of the movement and quash rumours about plans to secede from US territory, reports say.
