Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders held a campaign rally in Ames, Iowa, on Saturday, where he called US President Donald Trump «the most dangerous president in the modern history» of the US. He was joined by two of his major allies, New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) and documentary filmmaker Michael Moore.
Speaking to a crowd at a town hall event, Sanders... Еще highlighted the main goals of his presidential campaign, such as an end to «grotesque level of income, wealth inequality» and «the corrupt political system;» equal access to healthcare; and an «aggressive» fight against climate change.
Moore opened his remarks by stressing that the second after «getting rid of Trump» is «to get rid of the system that gave us Donald J. Trump.» He continued: «Trump didn't just fall out of the sky. He was the natural extension of the system set up to benefit the few at the expense of the many.»
Ocasio-Cortez meanwhile praised Sanders' campaign by saying it has transformed into a «movement for social, economic and racial justice.» «It's a movement to transform our public policy so that the United States can finally advance ideals and establish 21st century human rights,» she stated.
