Republican nominee for the gubernatorial race of Florida Ron DeSantis held a rally in Boca Raton on Sunday, two days before defining midterm elections. DeSantis accused his Democratic opponent Andrew Gillum of wanting to turn Florida to a «sanctuary state» and pursue an «open borders» immigration policy. He then claimed the the Tallahassee mayor would back the impeachment of US President... Еще Donald Trump and that his new office would be used for publicity. DeSantis tried to show off his foreign policy credentials, saying he was «one of the stronger pro-Israel leaders, not only in Florida but in the country.» Traditionally seen as a bellwether, the sunshine state may prove key in the battle for control of the US congress. High-profile visits from Trump and former president Barack Obama have added heat to the election.
