USA: Protesters gather near burnt Atlanta's Wendy's to remember shot Rayshard Brooks

Protesters gathered near burnt Wendy's restaurant in downtown Atlanta on Sunday, after the fatal police shooting of Rayshard Brooks outside the food chain store in the city on Friday night. An artist painted a victim's portrait next to a fence where flowers for Brooks were laid, and a preacher blessed the passersby, holding a sign reading: «Black lives matter.» On Saturday dozens of protesters gathered near Wendy's where the shooting happened, blocking the highway and setting the building on fire as tensions remain high between police and protesters since George Floyd's killing in Minneapolis. Atlanta's police chief Erika Shields resigned in the wake of the shooting, while the officer alleged to have shot Brooks, Garret Rolfe, was fired, and the other officer at the scene, Devin Bronsan, was assigned administrative duties.
