Thousands of protesters rallied in New York City on Thursday to express support to special counsel Robert Mueller and his Russia probe, amid fears the investigation might come to a halt following US President Donald Trump's decision to fire US Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Protesters marched carrying signs and placard condemning the US President such as «Arrest Trump,» while chanting «Trump... Еще is not above the law,» and «Hands off Mueller.» «If you are watching, we are here to remind you we the people do not want you in the White House. Leave our country alone! Resign now!» one protester said, addressing the US President. Similar rallies have taken place across the US as part of a campaign dubbed 'Protect Mueller,' in which protesters demand that Sessions' successor, Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitake, recuses himself from the oversight of Mueller's probe into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential election.
