USA: Police tase and arrest BLM protester after confrontation in NYC

A protester was tased and subsequently arrested by police in Brooklyn in New York City on Sunday, after confrontations took place between law enforcement and a small group of Black Lives Matter demonstrators. As police were leading one arrested individual away from the demonstration, another demonstrator appeared to verbally chide the officers, prompting an officer to violently push the man before he was tased by another officer. The tased man was then escorted away from the scene in handcuffs. Anti-racism protests have been taking place in New York and accros the country since the killing of George Floyd in May, which sparked mass unrest and revitalised dialogues about systemic racial inequality and police brutality.
