USA: Police order BLM protesters to remove tents blocking Washington DC street

Hundreds of 'Black Lives Matter' activists denounced racism and police brutality by setting up tents and blocking the street at Black Lives Matter Plaza, located near the White House, on Saturday, marking the sixth consecutive weekend of protests in Washington DC. Police officer asked the activists to remove the tents and later officers on bicycles surrounding the protest site while people were removing the tents. Police allowed protesters back in after the tents were moved away. Simultaneously with the protest at the Black Lives Matter Plaza, others were marching across the city in a march in memory of George Floyd as the US celebrated its day of independence.
