Demonstrators picketed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's district office in San Francisco on Friday over her decision to back an immigration bill supported by US President Donald Trump.
The protesters, affiliated with the Jewish group Never Again Action, formed a human chain blocking the entrance to the building.
The pressure group call for the abolition of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE... Еще) as well as Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
Some held banners that said Never again is now, a reference to the never letting the Holocaust happen again.
Many pointed to the policy of keeping asylum seekers and migrants in cages near the US border.
Pelosi's stance provoked outcry after passing a $4.6 billion Senate bill to send emergency funding to the border. Opponents believe the Trump administration cannot be trusted to divert money toward immigration enforcement.
