Airline catering workers staged a protest at JFK airport in New York City on Tuesday, demanding higher wages and the ability to afford health insurance.
The demonstration, held under the slogan «One job should be enough,» saw city's Mayor Bill de Blasio joining the crowds.
«The CEO of American Airlines made 31 million dollars last year, but they don't want you to be able to go to the doctor when... Еще you need it. Brothers and sisters, this is not what we believe in New York City, this is not what we believe in in the United States of America, we believe working people should come first,» said de Blasio.
People were also seen lying on the floor at the airport, surrounded by police. Several people were seen arrested.
