Locals were out and about in New York City's Union Square on Monday as the city entered its phase two of coronavirus reopening, with more restrictions being eased.
Many wore face masks and gloves while shopping at the Greenmarket at the square as the city moved to phase two in its biggest reopening step so far.
Under the phase, restaurants are now permitted to offer outdoor dining, and barber shops, hair salons and playgrounds reopened. In-store shopping will also be resumed.
The number of new infections has declined significantly in New York since the peak in April, with the lowest daily raise reported on Thursday since the start of the outbreak.
