USA: 'No end in sight' for US-led wars in Iraq and Afghanistan — Ron Paul

Former US Congressman Ron Paul shared his thoughts upon the power of media in the US, as he discussed the recent voting decision of the US Senate against the amendment to stop wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, speaking from Lake Jackson in Texas, Thursday. According to Paul, media works entirely on the side of neo-conservatives, which represent wars and military aggression in order to make money... Еще. Due to the money making military strategy, the US politics can get out of control and lead to global effects and economic problems. The Congressman urges the American people to «wake up» and to influence the way media frames wars in order to represent the truth. According to RT, the US Senate has voted 61-36 to kill the amendment, proposed by Senator Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) which would repeal the 2001 and 2002 Authorizations for Use of Military Force (AUMF) in Afghanistan and Iraq. Paul also touched on the conflict between North Korea and South Korea. In his opinion, it would be good if the US could encourage North and South leaders «to talk with each other.» If that would happen, China and the US would be able to play a role of observers, instead of building war games between the countries.
