A massive Navy operation started Monday in Norfolk, Virginia as the US Fleet Forces Command ordered to all its ships stationed there to leave for the Atlantic Ocean to avoid hurricane Florence.
Nearly 30 ships will leave for portions of the Atlantic Ocean where they will avoid the storm. Only ships currently undergoing maintenance will remain in the Navy base.
Florence became a hurricane on... Еще September 9 and has since been classified a major hurricane, prompting security measures across the US South-Eastern coast and evacuations over the coasts of South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia.
