USA: National Security Advisor responds to death penalty calls for NYC attack suspect

McMaster stated that the US State will 'assess' law enforcement options, regarding Tuesday's truck attack in New York City, when responding to a question on US President Donald Trump's suggestion that the death penalty is a possibility, speaking at a press conference in Washington DC on Thursday. McMaster explained, «We owe him options, you know, options to take a look at to see if this is the time to reassess, or change our capabilities in the area of law enforcement in particular.» The National Security Advisor also spoke at length about Trump's upcoming diplomatic trip to Asia, where the President is seeking to establish support against the 'inflammatory' North Korean 'regime', will be done «a great deal of clarity» .
