Train carriages plummeted onto a Washington State highway in Tacoma, just south of Seattle, on Monday causing multiple 'fatalities' and leaving many more injured, according to police reports. Initial reports suggest at least three people have died with a further 77 hospitalised. At least four train carriages from an Amtrak train fell on to the I5 highway, with one carriage turned upside down... Еще, after derailing from a bridge at DuPont, southwest Tacoma. Several motorists were struck by the carriages. Emergency services are at the scene, with many people still believed to be trapped inside the train. Many of the injured have been transported to nearby hospitals in the Tacoma area. The train was reportedly travelling at more than 80mph (130km/h) and carrying over 80 passengers and crew.
