Mourners were seen marching alongside the hearse carrying George Floyd's coffin, outside the Fountain of Praise Church in Houston on where his private funeral service was held on Tuesday.
People were heard chanting «black power» and «all power to the people» as the hearse was driving by.
A large crowd gathered for the funeral service, including Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo who was also at the scene.
George Floyd, a 46-year-old African American man, was killed as he was being arrested in Minneapolis on May 25, after police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes despite Floyd saying he couldn't breathe.
The four officers charged in Floyd's death have since been fired and charged.
Protests sparked by Floyd's death have been taking place across the US and around the world for the second consecutive week.
