USA: Mendocino Fire Complex burns through area size of Los Angeles

The Mendocino Fire Complex grew by a further 10,000 acres (40.47 square km) on Wednesday after another blaze broke out in California's Mendocino and Lake counties. The fire now covers an area the same size as Los Angeles; 470 square miles (1,217 square km) after a traffic accident ignited the 'Western Fire.' The latest outbreak in Spring Valley to the south of the state left also behind... Еще charred cars and houses, although many residents refuse to leave for fear of looters. Firefighters are struggling to control some 18 blazes in what has been described as the worst fire season in state history.
