USA: Memorial to opioid overdose victims goes on display outside the White House

A temporary memorial called 'Prescribed to Death,' hosted outside the White House in Washington DC in partnership with the National Safety Council (NSC), opened its doors to the public on Thursday. A black wall set up in a tent features 22,000 pills carved with the faces of those who died in 2015 from prescription opioid addiction. The memorial aims to educate people on alternative ways to deal... Еще with pain. The Senior Director for Advocacy at the National Safety Council, Jenny Burke, says the wall is an «attempt to put a face on the issue» of the opioid crisis in the US.
