USA: Locals and volunteers try to restore Cameron Parish hit by deadly Hurricane Laura

Locals and volunteers were seen trying to clear debris and restore damaged constructions in Louisiana's Cameron Parish, after deadly Hurricane Laura battered the area, Saturday. Robert Eggert, who lost his home due to the hurricane said that all the trailer homes and travel trailers in the area were destroyed, adding that though the damage was huge, it was still just the material possessions, not a lost «leg,» or any other body part. Joshep Smith, a volunteer, said that many power lines were damaged, with one of the poles seen lying next to him. According to reports, around 800,000 were left without power in Louisiana. The category four storm, which made landfall in the early hours of Thursday morning and killed at least six people in Louisiana and 14 in the country, is one of the strongest hurricane landfalls in United States history.
