SOT, Courtney, eyewitness, (English): «I just remember hearing the first sound, and I looked to my friend and he goes 'it sounds like a gun', it sounded like something else but I hoped it's not... at that time I just remember hearing the second sounds and... there was a guy next to us actually and he got shot and I remember just seeing the life drained out of him, and you know, I'm so blessed... Еще, because if it wasn't for him I probably wouldn't be alive. And I'm just thankful that we were able to get out, we were so thankful. Our friend Dakota, even though we couldn't go back in, we had friends that were able to go back in and help.» *JUMP CUT AT SOURCE* John and Courtney, two eyewitnesses that fled the gun attack at Route 91 Harvest open-air country music festival, spoke out about their ordeal in Las Vegas, Monday. Courtney, who was celebrating her twentieth birthday, described a scene of sheer panic and confusion, “you were trying to figure out if it was more than one shooter or not.” She added “we were trying to run in the complete opposite, and then we had people running in that way trying to somewhere else so the confusion of actually where to go and the fact of just having to run over all these bodies.” At least 59 people have been killed and 527 injured, after a gunman opened fire on the Route 91 Harvest country music festival from his room on the 32 floor in the overlooking Mandalay Bay hotel. The gunman was later found dead, after killing himself, with a cache of 17 guns.
