Scuffles broke out between police and protesters outside the Seventh District Metropolitan Police Department in Washington D.C., following the fatal police shooting that killed an 18-year-old man, identified as Deon Kay, in Southeast Washington on Wednesday.
Police pushed back demonstrators, as the latter were heard chanting «move back.»
Two of Deon Kay's aunts were amongst the protesters, with one of them addressing the police with a megaphone, saying, «I had my last hug with my nephew today.»
Protesters rallied outside the police station, following the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old man, identified as Deon Kay, by a police officer on Wednesday.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the officer responsible for the shooting had reportedly arrived at the site following a report of armed suspects, prompting people near it to run away, which eventually resulted in the shooting, according to media reports.
