USA: Hundreds take part in Gettysburg's Remembrance Day Parade

Hundreds descended on the streets of Gettysburg for the 61st Annual Remembrance Day celebration on Saturday commemorating the anniversary of former US President Abraham Lincoln's speech where he dedicated the Soldiers' National Cemetery in 1863. Each year various re-enactment groups take part in the Civil War parade, it features participants dressed as Union troops and Confederate soldiers with flags, bands, horses and carriages. Susan Sellar said the parade was a way to demonstrate her patriotism, «I won't ever ever try to destroy something that is a part of my nation's history, my state, I am a Georgian by birth and I am proud of that and so I think that people who protest or bend their knee and refuse to honour our flag or our nation's history are not patriots.»
